For any shop performing ADAS recalibration on KIA, Hyundai, or Mazda vehicles, this cone target is a mandatory component for both blind spot monitoring (BSM) and front radar calibration. Designed to work in combination with the TEXA RCCS calibration frame (art. S12616), neither piece alone is sufficient ÔÇö both are required to complete the OEM-specified static calibration procedure on these platforms.
What This Target Does
KIA, Hyundai, and Mazda ADAS sensors demand manufacturer-specific targets and calibration panels. A substitute reflector or generic panel will not satisfy the calibration routine within TEXA IDC5 software. This cone target serves as the precise physical reference point that the software expects when running blind spot radar and front radar calibration procedures on supported vehicles.
- Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) Calibration: Delivers the required physical target for rear-corner radar calibration on KIA, Hyundai, and Mazda vehicles following sensor replacement, bumper R&R, or suspension work.
- Front Radar Calibration: Functions as the reference target for front-facing radar systems ÔÇö including adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning ÔÇö on supported KIA and Hyundai models.
- OEM-Specific Design: Shaped and dimensioned precisely to what TEXA IDC5 software requires for these platforms. An incorrect target will result in a calibration failure or an out-of-specification reading.
